🌍 My Photography Bucket List – Dream Locations Around the World

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is that the world itself is my studio. Every mountain range, coastline, and cobblestone street holds a new story waiting to be told through my lens. Over the years, I’ve created a mental (and okay, sometimes Pinterest) list of dream destinations I’d love to photograph — places that speak to my creative soul and inspire me endlessly.

Here are the top spots on my photography bucket list ✨

Mountain peaks bathed in golden light at sunset, reflected in a calm lake. Lush green trees and bushes line the foreground.

🏔️ 1. The Grand Tetons, Wyoming

The Tetons are one of those places that just feel alive. Towering peaks, golden meadows, and wildlife roaming through the foggy mornings — it’s cinematic in every sense. I’d love to capture an intimate couple session here at sunrise, with the mountains mirrored in the still lakes below.

📍 Imagine: soft morning light, warm tones, and the quiet hum of nature waking up.

Wooden boats float on a clear lake with majestic mountain and forest backdrop. A dock reads "ATTENTION." The scene is calm and peaceful.

⛰️ 2. The Dolomites, Italy

The Dolomites are pure drama — jagged peaks, dreamy light, and that ethereal European mountain charm. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to wake up at 4 a.m. just to watch the clouds roll over the ridges.

I picture a fashion-forward editorial shoot here: flowy gowns, earthy palettes, and the moody tones of alpine mist.

Arched bridge over cliffs with ocean below, warm sunset hues, rugged coastline, waves lapping shore, and dramatic cloudy sky.

🌊 3. Big Sur, California

Big Sur has that wild, untamed energy that feels like freedom itself. The cliffs, the crashing waves, the golden grass — it’s all poetry. I’ve dreamed of photographing a sunset elopement overlooking the Pacific, where the ocean meets the horizon in hues of gold and pink.

📍 The kind of place that reminds you how small (and how lucky) we are.

Purple wildflowers bloom in a lush valley beneath towering, rugged mountains under a clear blue sky, creating a serene and vibrant scene.

🧊 4. Glacier National Park, Montana

Mountains, turquoise lakes, and moody weather — basically a photographer’s dream combo. Glacier has been on my list forever. I’d love to do a family or couple session here surrounded by wildflowers and glacial peaks, with that crisp mountain air and unpredictable light that makes every frame feel alive.

❄️ 5. Iceland

Person in orange jacket stands in stream near waterfall, with misty mountain in background. Mood is adventurous, with muted colors.

If I could describe my dream creative playground, it would look like Iceland — waterfalls, black sand beaches, ice caves, and endless skies. Every direction feels like another planet.

It’s the perfect destination for an adventurous elopement or fine art landscape series that blends movement, emotion, and nature’s raw power.

Palm trees on a tranquil beach at sunset, with pink and orange clouds and a mountain in the background, creating a serene atmosphere.

🌺 6. Hawaii

Warm breezes, lush greenery, and that golden island light — Hawaii is a photographer’s paradise. I’d love to capture both the stillness and the movement here: couples walking along volcanic beaches, families playing in the surf, or fashion shoots framed by tropical textures.

📍 Bring on the barefoot moments and salt air hair.

🏛️ 7. Greece

Sunset over Santorini cliffs, white buildings, and a poolside terrace. Pink skies and blue sea create a serene, picturesque view.

Between the whitewashed walls of Santorini and the rugged cliffs of Crete, Greece has that timeless quality that feels almost cinematic. I picture an intimate destination wedding here — sun-drenched, romantic, and full of laughter echoing off stone courtyards.

Bonus: all the golden hour light reflecting off the Aegean Sea. Pure magic.

Colorful, snow-covered buildings and boats line the waterfront in a serene, wintery scene with lit windows reflecting on calm water.

🏔️ 8. Norway

Majestic fjords, misty mornings, and northern lights dancing above snow-covered peaks — Norway feels like something out of a fairytale. I’d love to photograph both people and landscapes here, blending the quiet power of the scenery with human connection.

📍 It’s the kind of place that humbles you — and makes you fall in love with photography all over again.

✨ Final Thoughts

Each of these places has a soul — a rhythm — that calls to different parts of my creativity. Some feel grounding and earthy, others wild and otherworldly. My bucket list isn’t just about the landscapes themselves, but about the stories that could unfold within them.

Because no matter where I go, it always comes back to people, connection, and the magic of capturing a fleeting moment in a place that takes your breath away.
