Some photographers have a favorite location. Others have a favorite light.

I have a favorite duo — my Canon R6 and Canon 85mm f/2 Macro lens.

It’s the pair that’s been with me through golden-hour laughter, emotional vows, and quiet, unguarded moments that tell stories words never could.

The R6 was the first camera that truly felt like an extension of how I see. Its autofocus is intuitive, almost like it’s reading my mind. It balances technical precision with artistic expression — and that’s the space I love to create in.

Over the years, this combination has become my creative constant. I’ve shot in harsh desert sun, in cozy studios, and under rainy skies, and the R6 + 85mm always delivers — warm tones, tactile textures, and emotion that feels alive.

When people ask me why I shoot Canon, my answer is simple: because it feels human. It doesn’t get in the way of the story — it helps me tell it.
