Every year changes me a little. But 2025?This year stretched me, challenged me, inspired me, and reminded me constantly why I love photography so deeply. 📸💛

I photographed everything from emotional family sessions to bold creative concepts to weddings overflowing with personality. I drove across Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada with my camera riding shotgun. I met new people who became friends, reconnected with familiar faces, and kept building the business I love.
So here it is — the full, honest, joy-packed recap of every corner of my year.
Let’s dive in. 💫

🌿 Creative Sessions That Fed My Soul
🌞 Midsummer Magic — The Forest Fairytale
The Midsummer shoot was one of those sessions that felt like stepping into a myth.
Warm light, soft movement, ethereal styling — and Makea, who absolutely embodied every ounce of the vision. 🌼✨This shoot set the tone for my entire creative year.

🌊 Lady of the Lake — The Soft, Dreamy Water
Session
This session still feels like a painting.
Flowing fabric, rippling water, gentle tones, and a concept that let me focus purely on movement, mood, and emotion.
It reminded me why I love fine-art inspired shoots so much. 🎨💙
🏜 SLCI Salt Flats Meetup — Creativity Turned Up to 100
This meetup was WILD in the best way.

Bright orange Taylor Swift vibes, intense hot pink looks, angel wings, sea-themed setups, full-on Dune energy — the Salt Flats became a blank canvas for everyone’s imagination. 🤯✨
We shot with:
Smoke bombs
Steel wool for light painting
Seashell props
Drones
Massive wings
It was chaotic, creative bliss.

🔥 Hot Springs Meetup — A Warm Evening Full of Laughs
An evening shoot with warm tones, soft light, and a cozy location.
I got to work with Makea again (a gift, every time), and we spent the whole night joking, shooting, and having a blast.
And the sweetest surprise?
Finding out my friend Savannah was pregnant with her first child. 🥹💛The session felt like one long celebration.

📦 The Shipping Container Shoot — Industrial
Meets Creative
A location you wouldn’t expect to make good photos… until it absolutely does.
Metal textures, clean lines, warm light, and bold styling made this session a favorite.
It pushed me creatively in all the right ways. 🚧📸

🧜♀️ Siren Branding Shoot (BTS) — Dark, Moody, Powerful
While the full shoot has its own blog coming later, the BTS deserves a spot here.
Between charging batteries, organizing gear, double-checking props, and planning out shot lists — this session reminded me how much work goes into bringing a brand vision to life.
And this one?
Worth every second. 🖤🌊
💍 Weddings + Engagements — The Heart of My Year
Steven + Kayla — A Hot August Monday Wedding
A family wedding always hits differently.

Steven (my cousin) married Kayla in her grandparents’ backyard near Ogden, and despite the August heat, the day felt overflowing with love. ☀️💍
Emma, Steven’s daughter, was glowing the entire time — I swear she smiled from morning until night.
I was also training my associate photographer, Wyatt, and my nephew Dakota stole one of my cameras and grabbed a few adorable candid shots.
It was chaotic in all the best ways. 😆📸
A reminder that weddings don’t need to be fancy to be meaningful.

Second Shooting in Wellsville — Tashe + Josh
I loved second-shooting with Nicole from Iotamaker for this wedding.
The setting, the details, the couple — everything felt intentional and heartfelt.
Being the second photographer gives me a totally different perspective, and I always walk away inspired. 🤍
👨👩👧 Family Sessions — The Quiet Moments That Matter

📷 Studio Family Sessions
There were several indoor family sessions this year, and they all had the same theme:
Connection over perfection.
Kids playing, parents laughing, chaos turning into memories — studio days always end with some of my favorite candid images. ✨
💛 My Step-Aunt’s Family Session — Love That Never Leaves

This one always means so much to me.
Her son who passed away is always thoughtfully edited into a few photos — a way to keep him present, always.
We also keep tradition alive by editing her brother into one random fun shot each year.
And her granddaughter? She adores her aunts and uncles more than anything. These sessions remind me why photography matters. 🤍
🏞 Travel Sessions — Four States, One Camera Bag
This year took me all over the place:

🌵 Southern Utah
Red rock, warm color palettes, and endless desert light.
My favorite playground for creative shoots.
🌲 Idaho
Soft skies, lakes, forests — the cozy, earthy aesthetic I love.
⛰ Wyoming
Wide-open landscapes and dreamy mountain backdrops that feel straight out of a postcard.
🏜 Nevada
Dry lake beds, bold sun, and environments that look like another planet.
Every location challenged me creatively and reminded me how much I love photographing people in places that feel bigger than life.
🔥 Looking Ahead: 2026 Goals
✔️ MORE creative sessions
✔️ MORE branding work
✔️ MORE collaboration with other photographers
✔️ MORE associate shooter training
✔️ MORE travel
✔️ MORE bold concepts (I want wings, color, fog machines, everything)
Next year is going to be BIG.
And I’m so ready. ✨
📸 Thank You
If you stepped in front of my camera this year — thank you.
If you trusted me with your wedding, your family, your memories, your creative vision — thank you.
Here’s to another year full of stories, colors, light, and all the beautiful moments in between.
Cheers to 2026! 🥂📸✨
